The Collaboratory occupies what was once the Atlantic Coast Line Railway depot in Fort Myers, built in 1924. It closed in 1971 and remained vacant until 1982, when the building reopened as the Southwest Florida Museum of History. The Collaboratory took over the space in 2018. Reuse designed by Parker/Mudgett/Smith Architects.
