Carl Abbott, FAIA, designed Pine View school based on Thomas Jefferson’s plan for the University of Virginia. His buildings wrap around a green space connected to a nature preserve. The school is full of light and color, “joyous and uplifting,” the jury said when it awarded the school AIA Florida’s Test of Time Award in 2018.
