The Delano, named after President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, is in the heart of South Beach’s Art Deco district. The hotel was designed by architect Robert Swartburg and built in 1947. The landmark 16-story, 194-room hotel is known for its Art Deco style, white-on-white décor, billowing white curtains and its “Water Salon,” a pool too shallow to swim in, but perfect for lounging. It’s known for attracting celebrities and for its nightlife.
